A HP without distillery name on the label. This Vintage 2002 comes from a Sherry Butt and is of course very different from our 2000 Vintage. The sherry influence is striking, but does not dominate the whiskey and is certainly not bitter. The aroma offers a lot of Lindor balls with honey and oranges. Herbs and salt in the background. Hardly any smoke. Very mouth-filling and harmonious. Dense heather honey, raisins and toffee, creamy mocha and a perfectly integrated spice with a hint of salt. Very successful and totally harmonious. Nice finale with now slightly prominent fine smoke, spice and a lot of honey with a hint of dark chocolate.
